"Vaar Tahevaar" is a heartfelt drama centred around the vibrant atmosphere of Indian festivals. The film explores how the celebratory spirit of festivals can influence individuals' mindsets, encouraging them to prioritise family, love, and togetherness over their self-centred, career-oriented goals. It delves into the generational clash of values, highlighting the importance of family life and the dangers of delaying significant life decisions like marriage.
Our Protagonist, Preetal Pathak, is a successful psychologist who is pragmatic, career-driven, and sceptical about the traditional concept of family life. She enjoys her independence and believes in self-fulfilment before considering marriage.
Our other main character, Shubh Mehta, is an AI Engineer who is equally ambitious and focused on his career. He shares Preetal’s modern views on marriage and family, seeing them as distractions from his professional goals.
Families of both, determined to change Preetal and Shubh's mindsets, convince them to attend the grand Holi festival and the wedding of Shiv and Shivani, madly in love with each other (Presenting madness of love) who embody the joy and fulfilment of traditional family values.
And we can see, amid the colourful chaos of Holi, Preetal and Shubh are gradually swept up in the infectious energy. Through various traditional ceremonies, dances, and interactions with other festival-goers, Preetal and Shubh start to experience moments of doubt about their rigid viewpoints. They reflect on their lives, realising the emptiness of their solitary achievements and the potential fulfilment that comes with love and family. And finally, they understand that love requires a touch of madness and that wisdom alone cannot bring true happiness in relationships.
